Crazy Horse Vacation
Crazy Horse Memorial is located between Custer and Hill City in South Dakota.
Crazy Horse was born around 1842 on Rapid Creek in the Black Hills of South Dakota. He died September 6,1877 at age 35(?) while he was at Ft. Robinson Nebraska. Under a flag of truce he was stabbed in the back by an American soldier.This mountain carving is something to see. It is the largest such project in the world. The Crazy Horse Memorial was started in 1949 and is a work in progress and by visiting, you become part of the History-In-The-Making! Great for all ages. We had a fun time with our family and plan on revisiting in the future just to see how much more of the mountain carving has been completed.
